As with last week’s posting here on WPR, I am still feeling quite anxious about how America will drastically change when the felon returns to the presidency, but with quiet reflection, I have had time to map out some actionable steps to prepare for pockets of bad scenarios. I will be laying these thoughts out in the weeks to come.
In the meantime, I am continually comforted by my daily artistic and creative practices. My music playing—with the piano, ukulele, and singing—helps me unleash emotions and frustrations. The analog act of making ink and pencil marks on paper gives me gentle moments that are calm, focused, and relaxed.
I hope you are finding comfort somewhere in the trajectory of your days—in the ebbs, bustle, flows, and webs we weave.
Thank you for stopping by.

COLOR NOTEBOOK
I call what I have been doing with ink “contouring.” This term seems particularly fitting when I draw faces. They are flowing waves of parallel lines.
We are all butterflies (outside of our cocoons).
When we vote, we give ourselves permission to choose.
ABSTRACT FLOWERS
This is the baby version of a much larger flower I have already created.
STILL LIFE
Speaking of comfort, our animals give us so much of it.
