Windows to the Inside
One of the first things we do in the mornings in my house is to open the windows to let fresh air in. I love my mornings. While I sip on a warm cup of coffee that my husband makes from my favorite cup, the sun gracefully settles into every room. I splash cold water on my face and cuddle with my cat for a few minutes. I make my bed, and then I reflect upon my schedule for the day ahead.
I do not know what mornings are like for millionaires, oligarchs, and celebrity superstars in big mansions. I may not have what they have, but I understand that abundance can be everything I hold within my arm’s embrace.
It can be enough and so much more.
I have included a new section called “Still Life” to these biweekly interior views. It will feature momentary glimpses into all that is beloved in my world.
My windows are open. The air is fresh and crisp.

This week, I cut out a pocket from a button-down shirt and sewed it onto an apron to make a double pocket (aka a pocket on top of a pocket).
Every apron should have more than one pocket . . .
STILL LIFE
MaxZine and I sat on a painted couch last week and had our photo taken. It was a sunny and memorable day at a botanical garden . . .
